Whereas, Our Heavenly Father in his wisdom, did, on the 30th of August last, take from us and her loved ones on earth, MISS HATTIE DUTTON. Resolved by the Mt. Pleasant Sabbath School that in her death we have sustained an irreparable loss. Our hearts are deeply moved with grief in having to part with one whom we all loved for her exemplary and devoted services in our Sunday School work. Resolved, That it affords us great pleasure to testify publicly to her shining christian virtues, and to her matchless zeal in our Sunday School work. Resolved, That the only solace left to her co-workers and devoted pupils, is the sweet assurance left us that while we will no more on earth enjoy her society, and her labors in our midst, yet we believe that she is now enjoying the precious reward of all who truly love and serve the Lord in this life; and we hope and pray that all of us may yet see and be with her in the Sweet Bye and Bye when life's labors and cares shall be ended. Resolved, That these resolutions be spread upon the minutes of the Sunday School, and a page set apart for this purpose.
