The Enterprise, October 3, 1884
IN MEMORIAM
  The angel of death has visited us and called to its eternal rest the soul of
our dear friend and sister, Mrs. Mary Jane Ellington, and while we mourn our 
loss we have the blessed assurance that it is her eternal gain; for the 
implicit faith she professed in Christ, her Godly conversation and walk in life
entitled her to the promises concerning which God is not slack. Therefore, be
it resolved: 
  1st. That we extend to her children and relations our condolence and sincere
sympathy in their bereavment.
  2nd. That Macedonia Sabbath School feel that it is lost, in the death of 
sister Ellington, an earnest laborer, and the Church a faithful and consistent 
member.
  3rd. That we request the publication of the above preamble and resolutions
in our county papers.
