Georgia Enterprise, March 17, 1898
  Miss Annie Emery, of Kirkwood, sister of Mr. H. F. Emery, of Atlanta, was
killed by the fast train on the Georgia railroad near her home Thursday last.
She was well known to many people in Newton County, and a most excellent lady.
Aged about 40 years.
