Estes At Her Home Near Rutledge After a lingering illness, Mrs. James L. Estes, who lived near Rutledge, was called to rest last Friday. Mrs. Estes was in her seventy-second year, and one of Morgan county's most beloved and best known women. For the past month her condition had been considered serious, yet her death caused much sorrow among her numerous friends and relatives. Saturday afternoon funeral services were held at her home and her remains interred in the family cemetery. Many relatives survive the deceased, including one of Covington's well known and successful business men, Mr. C. C. Estes, and six daughters, Mrs. E. E. Dunsford, of Covington, Mrs. J. J. Adams, of Mansfield; Mrs. J. T. Cook, Mrs. W. I. Knight, Mrs. C. M. Jones, all of Rutledge; Mrs. T. R. Breedlove, of Monroe; a number of grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. T. F. Hollis of Madison; and Mrs. E. E. Osborn of Rutledge; one brother, James M. Davis, of Tifton, and a number of other relatives.
