DEATH'S SAD ROLL
  On Jan. 6, Miss Jane Franklin, of Hays district, departed this life, after
an illness of several days duration. She was a noble lady and her death will 
cause pain and sorrow to all who knew her. She was a sister of Mr. A. S. 
Franklin, of Starrsville. She lived a life of spotless purity, was kind and 
charitable to every one, and died the death of a Christian.
