Franklin, of Jasper county. She left the bedside of her dying brother, Carter to seek her own, which she never left until loving friends ceased their ministration for her recovery and prepared her for the grave. She leaves many friends besides relatives, to mourn her loss. She desired to burden no heart with her portion of life's sorrows, what ever they were she bore them alone, giving ever to her friends a cheerful face. Said a friend, over her grave, "I never saw Miss Jane other than in a cheerful mood." Deeply attached to her brothers and sisters and the affectionate friend of her neices and nephews she lived, among them, a peaceful and quiet life, ever ready to minister to their pleasures and comforts. Kind friends, around "Starrsville," who had known her all her life met her for the last time at her brother's, Mr. A. S. Franklin. We wept over her calm white face, then gently bore her to her last resting place beside her parents. The snow covered earth seems like a white shroud around her grave but "Life's fitful fever is over" and she has found rest. "From her fair form violets yet may spring" and from her pure life good may come to those who loved her. -A Friend. Additional Comments: This is the second obit for Miss Jane Franklin.
