Gause, which transpired at his home in this city, at 3 o’clock a. m., Monday last, 25th inst. Aged about 32 years. He came here last September and in co-partnership with Mr. Francis opened a bottling manufactory. He was a fine specimen of manhood, being stout, healthy and vigorous. He was courteous and companionable and made many warm friends whose tenderest sympathy is with the grief-stricken young wife in the time of her sad bereavement. Mr. Gause was originally from Wilmington, N. C., but more recently from Athens, Ga. He had been sick only about one week. His remains were buried here. Rev. W. H. LaPrade conducted the funeral service. May our friend sleep sweetly.
