Dead Departed this life on Tuesday, the 4th day of June. "Martha" our ever true and faithful servant. She was stricken with paralysis on Sunday and died the following Tuesday between 10 and 11 o'clock a. m. She was stricken while on her knees at prayer, unconcious and never spoke afterwards. She left a bright and glorious record. I cannot say too much in her praise- always true to her duties, strictly honest in all her dealings-Martha was a most affectionate and devoted servant. In all of her affliction and sorrow. She was ever at my side to aid and comfort me in every way possible. We lived together many long years and in all of that time she was always so considerate of my needs, so pleasant and agreeable with a bright smile on her face, always ready to do as I bid, and in sickness, be it day or night, she was always there to minister to my wants. She was always good, and her last days were her best. She gave herself to God and joined the Baptist church and lived a consistent member until the day of her death. But she has gone to her reward, and I believe she is at rest-safe in heaven. She leaves two sons and three daughters. May they all follow her bright and beautiful example. ONE WHO LOVED HER.
