R. Greer The death of Mrs. W. R. Greer, wife of Mr. W. R. Greer of Brick Store and daughter of Mr. William Adams, came on January 11, as a great shock to her family and many friends. Mrs. Greer was 58 and had lived a noble life of Christian charity. The funeral services at which Rev. Walker Combs was officiating clergyman, were held at Hayston at the Baptist church of which the deceased was a consistent member. She left besides her stricken husband, three daughters, Mrs. Stella Sumner of Aiken, S. C., Miss Mae and Miss Dixie; Four sons, Thomas, Bernard, both of Covington, Robert of Atlanta and Brook of Covington; two sisters, Mrs. W. M. Biggers of Covington and Miss Hoyt Pickett of Atlanta; three brothers, W. G., Glenn and Paul of Covington. J. C. Harwell and Son funeral directors in charge.
