The Covington Star, May 6,  1885
     Mrs. Sallie Glass died at her home, near Brick Store, in Newton County, on 
Friday, May 1st, 1885, aged 74 years and 8 months, she had been a member of 
Holly Spring Primitive Baptist church for 59 years, and her life was 
consecrated to the service of her Master. She died in peace, and full of hope 
for a better life beyond the grave. Her funeral was preached at her own request 
by Elder Wm. S. Montgomery.
