He had his faults, he had his ups and downs, but he was very kind and understanding. There were good traits in his character, and the worst enemy he had on earth was himself. For thirty years we knew Mr. Harper, and strange as the declaration may sound, we learned to love the man, and in a feeble way tried to aid and cheer him along, for the temptations which blasted his life, at one time came near wrecking ours. Loved ones lifted us up and helped us to stand. He struggled for a life time, as it were, alone, and the chains which bound him were riveted so tightly that death alone could never _____ and make him free. We are told that he pled for forgiveness, asked for prayer and died easy. Perhaps he found joy and peace on the other shore. We hope so. Peace be to the memory of “Old Man Ad.” File at: http://files.usgwarchives.net/ga/newton/obits/h/harper5864gob.txt This file has been created by a form at http://www.genrecords.org/gafiles/ File size: 1.6 Kb
