She was possessed of an estate valued at about $2,000, which she bequeathed in fee simple, to MRS. S. P. THOMPSON, wife of our popular merchant, MR. SAMUEL P. THOMPSON. Mr. and Mrs. Thompson have been very kind to Aunt Hester, in many ways, while Mr. Thompson has long assisted her in the management of her business affairs. Aunt Hester had no children or other relatives living, and so, in consideration of their many kindnesses to her, she bequeathed to Mrs. Thompson all her property, which consists of a house and lot in Oxford, and a good farm, containing 100 acres of land, near Oxford.
