The Georgia Enterprise, November 20, 1890
     It pains us to learn that Mr. John T. Henderson, Jr., departed this life 
at the home of his parents, in Atlanta, on Friday last, Nov. 14th. Aged about 
30 years. He had been quite sick with fever in Americus, where he was engaged 
in business, but had improved sufficiently to be brought to Atlanta, where he 
relapsed and never recovered. He was born and raised in Covington and has many 
relatives in this county and state who will lament his death. In the prime of a 
vigorous and promising young manhood our friend has been called from the busy 
scenes of this life. May his sleep be sweet and his rest undisturbed until the 
resurrection morn.
