The Georgia Enterprise, March 1904

Mrs. Hamby Dead
  Mrs. C. C. Hamby died at her home at the Covington Cotton Mill after
an illness of some length. Her funeral and burial occurred Tuesday
near Oak Hill, attended by many friends. Mrs. Hamby was a middle aged
lady who was known and loved by a large number of people in that
community.
