She lived here many years before going to Atlanta where she was married to Mr. John Hardegree. She was always ready to help in her church and all of the clubs, some of which she helped organize and had many friends here who regret her death. She is survived by her husband, Mr. John Hardegree of Atlanta, two brothers, Messrs Willie Joe Dearing and Elija Dearing of Porterdale, two sisters, Mrs. Emory Sears of Porterdale and Mrs. Jim Ginn of Rocky Plains. Funeral and interment were at Salem Camp Ground Monday. Mrs. Hardegree was a member of the Fulton Chapter Rebeccas and a large escort came down with the body. She was also a member of the auxilary of the Red Men and a member of the Baptist church and was active in church and social work.
