F. Hearn Dies Mr. Benjamin Franklin Hearn died at the home of his son, B. F. Hearn, Jr., at Porterdale, Sunday, Feb. 6 and was buried Monday at Sardis cemetery, Rev. Walker Combs officiating. He is survived by the widow, Mrs. Lucy Jane Hearn, two daughters, Sarah E. Griffin of Butts County, and Mrs. Josephine Chafin of Morrow, Ga., three sons, Robert of Decatur, B. F., Jr., of Porterdale and C. E. Hearn of Butts County; two sisters, Martha J. Taylor and Mrs. Lula Tucker of Porterdale. Mr. Hearn was 83 years old and a confederate Veteran of the 27th Regiment of Georgia. The funeral was conducted by Jos. W. Tong of the Harwell Company.
