Georgia Enterprise, Jan. 30, 1896
  Mr. L. L. Harwell departed this life at his home in Newborn district, Newton
Co. Ga., at the age of 42 yrs. on Friday, Jan. 24, 1896. He had a severe case
of measles which terminated in pneumonia. Mr. Harwell was a true and loyal
member of the M. E. Church, and was a gentleman of honor and high integrity,
a loving husband, kind father, faithful friend and useful citizen. He leaves
a wife, six children and many friends and relatives to lament his death.
