For many long months he has suffered severely, yet all his pain and affliction was borne with Christian fortitude and endurance. A few days ago he went to Atlanta and placed himself under the treatment of an eminent physician. On Sunday morning last his spirit winged its flight from earth and his remains were brought to Oxford on the night of the day of his death. Dr. SYLVESTER A. HOUGH, was about 48 years old, and had been a ______ member of the Church for 40 years. As a profession he was Professor of Natural Science in the S. M. F. College, at Covington. In respect to the memory of the deceased this Institute suspended for the day and the pupils attended the funeral exercises of their once favorite teacher. Rev. W. R. Branham and Rev. L. M. Smith officiated at the burial services. Oxford has lost a good citizen, Society has lost a useful member and the Church a consistent Christian in the death of Dr. Hough.
