The Henry County Weekly, November 27, 1896
     Uncle Bob Hardeman, the venerable ex State treasurer, and present 
representative from Newton county, whose condition has caused so much anxiety
all over Georgia for the past week, breathed his last at 3:30 o'clock, Wednesday
afternoon. He was one of the State's favorite sons, whose health will be widely
mourned.
