DEATH’S SAD ROLL
     Master Reneau Jones, aged about 13 years, was killed by lightning near the 
home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. T. R. Jones, in Cartersville, on Thursday 
last. He was a grandson of Dr. G. G. Griffin, of Covington, and an exceedingly 
bright and promising lad. He was returning to school after the dinner hour when 
he was struck just above the right eye and instantly killed. Miss Mamie 
Griffin, of Covington, attended the funeral services.
