A. Kelly, father of the Messrs. Kelly of Covington, Atlanta and Monticello, died in the latter place on April the 3rd. He was a noble man and belonged to the old school of gentlemen who believed that honor and integrity were the loftiest principles in the human character. Our sympathies are tendered to the relatives and friends of him who is now no more. On Friday the stores of the Messrs. Kelly were closed and draped in mourning as a faint expression of grief for the kind father whom they adored. It is said that the angels, weep when a child is born and smile when an old man dies. Peace be to the memory of Mr. Kelly.
