P. Kennon departed this life at her home near Oxford. Aged about 62 years. She was a most excellent lady and has gone to claim the precious crown promised to those who have kept the faith. She was the mother of Mrs. Wm. P. Dearing, and leaves many relatives and friends who mourn her departure. Near the hour of noon on Monday her remains were laid to rest in the Oxford Cemetery where sleeps the husband of her young womanhood and other loved ones who have preceded her to the spirit land. We tender our condolences to Captain and Mrs. Dearing in their hours of grief over the death of their hours of grief over the death of their sainted mother. May flowers of beauty ever bloom upon the last resting place of this grand old Mother in Israel.
