It appears that he joined a lot of hands to work the public road and while leaning on a hoe handle grew quite pale and in a moment, as it were, fell to the ground and expired. Quite a number of persons were present, and therefore it was not necessary to hold an inquest over his body. It is supposed that he died from heart failure. He was a popular young man and highly esteemed by all who knew him. He was the oldest son of Mr. and Mrs. J. M. King, who have the sympathy of all our people in their deep grief and sorrow.
