ACCIDENTALLY KILLED
     Mr. W. S. Lamb, formerly of Newton County, accidentally shot himself near 
his home in Henry County, on Thursday last. It appears that Mr. Lamb was out 
hunting with some of his friends and it is supposed that after he fired one 
barrel of his gun he attempted to blow the smoke out, when the other barrel 
fired, blowing half of his head off. He died instantly. He was a splendid 
specimen of manhood, being over 6 feet 2 inches high, weighed near 200 lbs., 
and was an upright, honorable gentleman. May he sleep sweetly.
