M. Langley Mr. W. M. Langley died at his home in Covington, on Saturday afternoon, June 13, 1885, after a long and painful affliction, in the 36th year of his age. He was attacked with pneumonia during the past winter, and suffered a long time with it, which left his system in a very bad condition. About six weeks ago he was again prostrated with disease, and his sufferings have since been very severe. He was thought to be improving however, and hopes were entertained by his friends that he would recover; but he changed for the worse during the early part of the week, and gradually sank until Saturday afternoon, when death came to his relief. He leaves a wife and four children, to whom the sympathies the community are extended. His remains were carried to Salem for interment, on Monday morning.
