The Enterprise,  November 15, 1907
     Jim Lawson, the janitor of the Covington Public Schools, died Wednesday 
night. Jim had been the faithful employee of the Public School here for more 
than twenty years, and was liked and respected by all who he came in contact 
with.
      Prof. Sessions and his assistants arranged for the children to attend the 
funeral in a body and they marched to the cemetery from the college Thursday 
afternoon.
     Jim was about 45 years of age.
     “Fireman” as he was called by the children will be missed by the entire 
school.
