The Covington News, October 13, 1915
     The death of Mr. C. P. Lee, of Loganville, will be sad news to a great 
many Newton County people, as he was widely known here and was at one time a 
citizen of this county.
     He was over eighty years of age and was for a long time a member of 
Macedonia Church, where many will remember his earnest and fervent prayers.
     His life was a model one, a good Christian, polite, cheerful, full of 
charity and good will to all. May the boys follow in his steps.
     He is survived by his wife, four sons and two daughters, who are well 
known, and good Christian men and women. Christ said; “Judge not but by the 
fruit the tree is known.” Therefore, we feel safe in saying that he was only 
carried from this life to one in heaven. The bereaved have our deepest sympathy 
in their loss.
