Death of Mrs. James G. Lester
     The friends and acquaintances of Mrs. James G. Lester were shocked to hear 
of her death Saturday. When it was known that Mrs. Lester was in poor health 
her death was a shock to her many friends here.
     Mrs. Lester had been until recently, a resident of Newton County all her 
life, being a daughter of the late Hon. Thomas M. Meriwether.
     She was a consecrated Christian woman, a devoted wife, loving mother, her 
friends were all who knew her.
     For many years she was a leader in the church work of the community.
     She leaves a husband and three children to mourn her loss.
