Lewis was held at Austin Chapel Thursday afternoon at three o'clock, Rev. Frank Moss, officiating. Mrs. Lewis, who was 66 years of age, passed away Wednesday afternoon at 4 o'clock at her home near Leguin. Her death was not unexpected as she had been ill for about two years and confined to her bed since December of last year. Her character was such as to endear her to all with whom she came in contact and there are hosts of friends all over the county who grieve to hear of her death. Mrs. Lewis is survived by six children, H. B. Rogers, of Covington, C. R. Rogers, J. M. Rogers, Mrs. Sallie Crowell, Mrs. Mollie Taylor, and Miss Tempie Lewis. Her brothers and sisters are, I. W. Meador, J. B. Meador, R. L. Meador, H. B. Meador, Mrs. Mary Smith and Mrs. Mattie Posey, of Conyers. Mrs. Lewis has been identified with the Methodist church since early in life and was a woman universally esteemed by everyone.
