L. Loyd, former prominent merchant of Covington died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Mary L. Sewell, of Oxford on Tuesday at the age of 67. She was buried Wednesday from the Presbyterian Church at Covington of which she was a life long member, the Rev. S. H. Hay, D. D. officiating. She leaves three daughters, Mrs. S. M. Aycock, of LaGrange, Mrs. C. A. Cannon of Covington and Mrs. Mary L. Sewell of Oxford and one son, Quigg Loyd of Los Angeles, Cal., to mourn her loss, besides a multitude of friends who loved her for her many eminent Christian virtues, Mrs. Loyd was a lovely Christian character.
