Veteran Dies
     Mr. Allen Mann, prominent and respected resident of Oxford, RFD 2, died at 
his residence at the age of 88. He was a member of the 82nd Regiment Georgia 
Infantry during the War Between the States, and followed farming all his life.
     The funeral was held at Grove Methodist Church and the burial was in that 
cemetery. The funeral rites were performed by the Rev. W. R. Branham. Mr. Mann 
leaves three sons, Joseph who lives in Texas, Frank and John of Moultrie; a 
sister, Mrs. Brand of Marietta and a brother, Henry Mann of Kennesaw.
