Moore, who lives at Jonesboro, and who was visiting the family of Mr. Luther Coogler, was drowned in Alcova river, near White’s Factory, one day last week. It appears that several persons were in a small boat taking a pleasure ride on the river, when the boat got into swift water and was overturned, throwing all the occupants out into the water. All escaped, or were rescued except Miss Moore, whose body sank and was not found until a day or two afterwards. She was a most excellent lady, highly esteemed by all who knew her.
