Georgia Enterprise,  July 1, 1897
     Mr. Frank McCord, the oldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Josiah F. McCord of this 
city, was struck and killed by lightning, on the farm rented by him in 
Stansell’s district on Monday. Aged about 30 years. He was a most excellent 
young man, moral and industrious being highly esteemed by all who knew him. We 
sympathize with the parents in their time of deep grief over their tragic and 
untimely death of their precious son.
