E. NORRIS The Methodist Church was a bower of beauty and bloom, Friday morning, when Miss Sara Ethel Norris made her last earthly visit to the sanctuary she loved so well. Loving hands had banked the countless offerings in exquisite array about the chancel. Hundreds of friends and schoolmates sat in reverent silence awaiting her coming. Soft lights, perfumed air and a tender music added to the sacredness of the occasion. To the strains of a sweet and triumphant march the ministers entered followed by the casket that contained the form of the lovely young girl, whom the angels have called forever more. Mrs. R. R. Fowler arranged a program of favorite melodies which were sung by intimate friends of the family. Mrs. Lilla I. Smith sang a solo of wondrous sweetness. Rev. Walker Combs of the Baptist Church read comforting scripture. Rev. J. M. Tumlin, pastor of the First Methodist Church offered a touching prayer. Dr. W. B. Dillard, former pastor and beloved friend of the family, made a simple soul-stirring talk. Rev. T. J. Christian read from the Psalms. The services throughout were "sweet as incense and pure as prayer." Everyheart, while realizing the separation felt that Sara Ethel was in the land that is fairer than day, and happy in the beautiful home over there. The concluding service was held in South View, with the noonday sunshine, all goldenly shining and the birds singing in liquid notes. Everything conspired to make Sara Ethel's going away bright and beautiful. The friends who bore her to the last resting place were; Messrs J. G. Hall, Robt. Trippe, A. W. Baldwin, J. L.
