A Native of Newton County, Miss Odum was 78 years old. She was a member of the First United methodist Church in Decatur and was employed by the Registrar's office at Emory Uiversity for approximately 40 years. She was a sister of the late Henry Odum Sr. prominent citizen of Covington. Funeral services were conducted on Wednesday afternoon, December 5, by Rev. Ernest Kendall, pastor of the First Methodist Church in Decatur, in the Chapel of Harwell Funeral Home. Interment was in Ixford Cemetery with J. C. Harwell and Sons Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Serving as pallbearers were Mac Gay, Luke Odum, Henry Fluker, Rick Frisbie, Luther Carson and BErto Skinner.
