The Covington News

MRS. SARAH FRANCIS THOMPSON
  The death of Mrs. Sarah Francis Thompson at the home of her daughter, Mrs. 
Roland Blankenship in Atlanta, on December 19, brought tender memories to the 
minds of many Newton County elderly people.
  Mrs. Thompson passed on at the great age of 84 after a useful and helpful 
life of kindness and generosity. The funeral services were held at Salem Camp 
Ground Cemetery with the Rev. Messrs. Hammond and Fruit officiating. 
  She was the widow fo the late Sam Thompson. She left her daughter and one 
brother, Mr. J. C. Nixon of Covington.
  J. C. Harwell and Son funeral directors of Covington were in charge.


Additional Comments:
Sam and Frances are buried at Salem United Methodist Church Cemetery in 
Covington, GA.
