She took to her bed two weeks ago, and has been dangerously ill from the beginning of her sickness. She had been sick for a week before she gave up or let any one know it on account of her brother's continued illness. All that medical attention and kindness of friends could do was administered, but of no avail. God wanted her bright spirit for one of his angels, and while it seems so hard to give her up, we know that He doeth all things for the best. She was the light and life of her home, she being the eldest child and only daughter. Lillian was so kind and gentle, so thoughtful of others pleasures, and her friends were many. Her death is indeed a blow to her father, mother, brothers, and the entire community, and the sympathies of all go out to the family in their sore bereavement. At the time of her death she lacked only a few weeks of being nineteen years of age. Her body was tenderly laid to rest in the cemetery here at 3:30 o'clock Tuesday afternoon. The funeral services was conducted by Rev. J. J. Ansley. May the God of mercy be with this family and comfort them in this their sad hour of trouble.
