Death of Mrs. R. H. Thompson
  Mrs. Octavia Thompson, wife of Mr. R. H. Thompson, died at her home in
this city last Friday morning between the hours of 1 and 2 o'clock after
a long illness.
  She was sixty eight years of age and one of the best known women in
Covington. She has been identified with the methodist church since
early life and was always a constant member until her health failed.
  She is survived by her husband and five children, Horace Thompson,
of Atlanta, Will Thompson, of Calumet, Ala., F. H. Thompson, of
Gainsville, A. B. Thompson, of Mansfield, and Miss Ida Thompson of 
Covington.
  The funeral services were conducted from the Midway Methodist church
Saturday morning by Rev. G. W. Duvall and assisted by Dr. J. E. Dickey.
The interment was in West View cemetery.
