T. Stone, of Oxford, which sad event occurred last Friday morning at 6:30 o'clock after a critical illness of about two weeks with pluero-pneumonia. Mr. Stone was a graduate of Emory College, a lawyer by profession, and for the past few years has been engaged in farming. Last year he was elected a professor in the law school of Emory college. He is survived by a wife, mother and three children; also two brothers, Prof. H. H. Stone and G. W. Stone of Oxford, and by three sisters, Mrs. J. W. Branham of Oxford, Mrs. H. E. W. Palmer of Atlanta; and Mrs. W. F. Robinson of Monroe. No man in the county was more highly esteemed that Mr. Stone and his death cast a shadow over many homes in the county. The funeral was held at the old family home in Oxford Friday morning and was attended by a large concourse of friends and relatives.
