Morton Stone, the 10 year old son of Prof. and Mrs. H. H. Stone, of Oxford, was killed almost instantly Tuesday afternoon by falling from a fast moving wagon. The little fellow was returning home from school and was riding in a wagon. When near his home, the mule gave a quick jerk, which threw him out, hitting fast upon his head, crushing his skull, and causing concussion of the brain. He lived but a few minutes after the accident and never regained consciousness. Morton was a manly little fellow for his years and one of the brightest and most popular students at Palmer Institute. The funeral services were held at the church at 3:30 Wednesday afternoon and were conducted by Rev. J. E. Dickey. Sincere sympathy goes out to the heartbroken parents, family and relatives.
