D. MEADOR AT BAPTIST CHURCH Saturday morning, at the Baptist Church, funeral services for Judge A. D. Meador, who died in an Atlanta hospital last Thursday were held. Rev. Walker Combs conducted the services in a very impressive manner. The choir rendered two selections, "Nearer My God To Thee" and "How Firm a Foundation." Beautiful floral offerings bespoke thoughts of his relatives and many friends. After the services at the church, interment followed at West View cemetery. Acting as pall bearers were; Mr. T. W. Heard, J. L. Callaway, C. L. Harwell and Dr. A. S. Hopkins. Judge Meador was 59 years of age, reared in the county, a resident of Covington about thirty years, serving as ordinary twelve years. Mr. W. L. Meador, of Beaver Fall, Pa., Mr. V. K. Meador, of Atlanta, and Miss Helen Meador, who is teaching at Columbus, were called home on account of the death of their father at Wesley Memorial Hospital last Thursday morning. Among the out of town friends and relatives attending the funeral of Judge A. D. Meador were; Mrs. Margarete Bush Hurst, of Daytona Beach, Fla., Mr. and Mrs. B. E. Hastings and daughter, Miss Pearl, Mr. and Mrs. ?. J. Hurst and daughter, Miss ?, Mr. James and Miss Emily ?, Miss Lilly May ?, of Atlanta.
