J. THOMPSON PASSED AWAY Prominent Citizen of the County Died at His Home in Rocky Plains District Monday Mr. William J. Thompson, one of the county's best known and most highly respected citizens, died at his home in Rocky Plains district on Monday of last week and was buried at Hopewell church on Tuesday. Mr. Thompson was in his seventy-fourth year and had lived in this county all his life. He was a man of sterling worth to any community and numbered his friends by his acquaintances. His word was his bond. Mr. Thompson had been in feeble health for more than a year, but his condition was not considered very serious until only a few weeks ago, but the end was as peaceful as the close of a beautiful summer day, when the daylight fades into the night with increasing loveliness. He was a brother of Mrs. B. F. Camp, of this city, and Mr. D. A. Thompson, of Rocky Plains. He leaves a number of friends and relatives to mourn his death. The sympathy of the entire county is extended to the bereaved. This file has been created by a form at http://www.poppet.org/gafiles/ File size: 1.5 Kb
