The funeral services were conducted at the Methodist church Tuesday afternoon by Rev. R. C. Cleckler, the interment being in Westview cemetery with Masonic rites. Mr. Moss at the time of his death was in his eightieth year and is survived by his aged wife and several grandchildren. Since early manhood, he had been a consistent member of the Methodist Episcopal church and for a number of years a member in good standing of the Masonic fraternity. Although above the age limit for military duty at the breaking of hostilities in 1860, he volunteered his services to the Confederate government and served gallantly as a private soldier through the civil war. In her sad bereavement, Mrs. Moss has the sympathy of a host of loving friends in the city. This file has been created by a form at http://www.poppet.org/gafiles/ File size: 1.4 Kb
