Mr. R. M. Rakestraw Dead
  Mr. R. M. Rakestraw, one of Newton county's most prominent and highly
respected citizens, died at his home near Starrsville, Saturday afternoon,
after an illness of more than three months.
  Mr. Rakestraw was 87 years old, and leaves a wife and several children.
His body was buried at the Rakestraw burying ground at 11 o'clock Sunday,
in the presence of a large concourse of relatives and friends.
