Georgia Enterprise, August 15, 1895
  Mrs. J. D. Ramsey departed this life at the home of her daughter, Mrs.
W. D. Sullivan, in Covington, on Friday last. Aged about 75 years. She
was the mother of county commissioner W. S. Ramsey, and Messrs. J. H. and 
J. A. Ramsey, besides she had other children whose names we cannot recall at
this paticular time. No better woman ever lived or died than was Mrs. Ramsey.
She loved and served her Lord and has gone to claim her reward. Her mission
on earth was to do good and make those around her happy. She leaves children,
grandchildren and many relatives and friends to mourn her departure and to 
cherish her sweet and precious memory.
