Osborn T. Rogers died at his home in Savannah on Jan 21, 1896. For many years he was a resident of Covington and has many relatives and friends in this section to mourn his departure and cherish his memory. He was the father of Mrs. Major Jno. B. Davis, of this city, and he also leaves a wife and several other children. Colonel Rogers was every inch a gentleman and held fast to his integrity in the trying hours of adversity. He was liberal, benevolent and companionable. In life he was our friend and in death we shall not forget him. May he sleep sweetly and may flowers of beauty ever bloom upon his grave.
