In Memoriam
  Carrie Bec Pickett entered God's Kingdom April 21, 1906.
  Where is Carrie Bec? We call and she does not answer; we look and our eyes are
blinded, we cannot see; we listen, there is silence while the loneliness keeps 
us just a wearying- a wearying for Carrie Bec.
  Where is she and where is Heaven? They seem so far away. Though a bright, 
brief life of childhood, Carrie Bec Pickett eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jim 
Pickett was the embodiment of joy, beauty and sunshine. Her presence a 
comforting blessing in the home circle where she was lovingly and tenderly 
nurtured. Her pretty eyes and sweet smile winning love from all with she came 
in contact. Then the gloom of sickness overshadowed her until the angel of 
Death took her so gently from our midst we scarcely knew when she was gone.
  Surrounded by her devoted father, mother, sisters, brothers ans others who 
faithfully loved her, we watched her dear life ebb away, realizing the utter 
helfulness of human power to stay the icy chilliness that was creeping over 
her, as she passed through the valley and shadow of death guided by her 
Saviour's eye. Frequently an angelic smile illuminated her face, while fainter
and fainter she breathed; then all was still. We felt that another angel was in 
our midst. They covered her with beautiful flowers, pure as her fair young 
life. Tearfully we pray that she may watch and leave the heavenly gates ajar, 
when some sweet day we meet again.
  May the peace of God rest upon the lonely hearts that are "just ???????? for 
Carrie Bec."
