The Georgia Enterprise, Jan. 26, 1883
  Mr. Henry Stevens, father of John and William Stevens, of Stevens Pottery,
died on the morning of the 16th. He was a man of high and lofty principles and
his death is a sad calamity to the community in which he lived. Both of his 
progressive sons married attractive and talented Newton County ladies, and their
many friends in this section grieve with them in the unfortunate hour of their
bereavment.
