T. J. SWANSON PASSES AWAY One of Covington's Best Known And Most Highly Respected Citizens Died Tuesday. After an illness of several weeks, Rev. T. J. Swanson, former pastor of the Baptist Church here, and a resident of this city for the past twenty years, died at his home surrounded by his family at 4:20 o'clock Tuesday morning. Mr. Swanson moved here in 1877, and was pastor of the Baptist church for a number of years. After which he was called to pastorate the chuches at Starrsville, Hayston and Mansfield, and these churches were in his charge at the time of his death. In the death of Mr. Swanson the church loses one of its foremost workers and a man who was a Christian in it's full meaning; a minister who was looked upon as a model, and one whose opinions were sought by many Christians. Mr. Swanson is survived by a wife and four children, Miss Julia Swanson, Mr. Chas. B. Swanson, of this city, Mr. T. L. Swanson, of Orlando, Fla., Mr. H. B. Swanson, of Sandford, Fla. The funeral services were conducted from the Baptist church on Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock by Rev. E. R.
