His death was caused from meningitis. He was a noble youth, and beloved by all who knew him. For some time past he had been clerking for Messrs. Heard, White & Thompson, and was a general favorite with the proprietors and all the salesmen, as well as with the trading public. He had been confined to his bed only a few days before death claimed him as its own. Just blooming into a promising young manhood, with a kind and gentle disposition, steady in his habits and pious in his demeanor, the startling announcement of his death caused saddness to prevail over this city as it was heralded from lip to lip and told from house to house. Woodson was a son of Josiah Perry, Esq., and the heart stricken father, relatives and friends have the sympathy of this entire community in their time of grief and bereavement, over the demise of this true and generous young man, whose brief sojourn here on earth was like a sweet poem set to soft music in which harmony prevailed and no discord appeared. Monday his remains were interred in the family burial ground near his father's residence in Hay's district. This file has been created by a form at http://www.poppet.org/gafiles/ File size: 1.8 Kb
